Intellimech is a private consortium of 48 companies, dedicated to interdisciplinary research in the field of Mechatronics, including advanced electronics, Data Analytics, AI, ICT systems and robotics for applications in a wide range of industrial fields. The Consortium is supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo and promoted by Kilometro Rosso and Confindustria Bergamo.

 

The mission of the Consortium can be summarized as follow:

 

• to create an interdisciplinary environment where the industrial partners can raise awareness concerning the opportunities offered by automation and robotics;

• to fill the gap between research and industries​ by applying innovative technologies to develop pre-competitive technological platforms and mechatronic prototypes shared among partners;

• to implement products and services relying on the outcomes from shared research activities and concretized through vertical projects tailored for specific partners.

 

To gain visibility on technological trends, Intellimech has established strong collaborations with universities, research centers and clusters. Indeed, Intellimech is also a founder of Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia (AFIL), and a member of Cluster Tecnologico Nazionale Fabbrica Intelligente (CFI). Moreover, Intellimech participates in several European initiatives, including BDVA (Big Data Value Association), DFA (Digital Factory Alliance) and the FIWARE community.

 

Within the AI REDGIO 5.0 project, Intellimech supports the development of the Industry 5.0 Data4AI Platform & Data Spaces, and Industry 5.0 EDGE AI Toolkit & AI-On-demand Platform. Moreover, Intellimech assists SCAMM in the implementation of their pilot.
