Open Calls Experiments

The Open Calls represents the opportunity to join AI REDGIO 5.0 project, proposing an additional demonstration case to be performed in real industrial environments. The Open Calls winners will have the chance to know and adopt the AI REDGIO 5.0 methodology and to receive fundings in order to apply AI-based solutions to solve existing challenges.


FIRST OPEN CALL


The first AI REDGIO 5.0 project Open Call aimed to promote the adoption of AI at the Edge among European Industry 5.0 manufacturing SMEs. It sought to identify and support innovative use cases that leverage AI technologies to enhance manufacturing processes, drive digital transformation, and foster collaboration across the European landscape. By providing financial support, the call aimed to stimulate experimentation and development in areas such as the Edge-to-cloud continuum, sustainability, and human-centric manufacturing practices, ultimately building a robust ecosystem for future growth and replicability. Among numerous applicants, ten experiments were chosen to extend the domains of AI REDGIO 5.0, benefiting manufacturing SMEs and small mid-caps directly.

SECON OPEN CALL


The goal of the second open call for the AI REDGIO 5.0 project was to select up to 10 SME-driven experiments that focus on implementing AI at the Edge and Industry 5.0 systems. The aim is to enhance existing solutions, products, or processes in the manufacturing sector. Additionally, this open call seeks to expand the reach of AI REDGIO 5.0, directly benefiting manufacturing SMEs and small mid-caps.

  5. EDGE-MICROFY - AI-Powered Automated Microscopy for Agrifood

  6. EHINA - Intelligent Measurement of Tool Wear at the Edge

  7. GreenMould - Monitoring Environmental-friendly Quality in Plastic Injection Moulding

  8. HAWK4Label - Human-Enhanced Weak Supervised Learning for Data Labeling

  9. HCE - Human-Centric Environment for Sustainable Bakery Production

  10. SWARM-DC - Demonstrating the Synergy of Edge and Cloud Computing

  11. ADEPT - AI-Powered Edge Anomaly Detection and Decision Support

  12. AIPack - AI-Driven Packaging Defect Detection System

  13. AI-Vision - Real-Time Monitoring and Analysis of Oven Movements

  14. Antenna-I - AI-Enhanced RF Testing and Fault Classification System

  15. COMATEX 5.0 - Collaborative Sewing Automation for Inclusive and Sustainable Textile Manufacturing

  16. EdgeAI4Beer - Optimizing Microbrewery Processes through Edge AI Analytics

  17. FurnAIce5.0 - Collaborative AI-powered Open Furnace Control Systems for Net-Zero Aluminium Recycling

  18. GEDAIM - Generative and Enhanced AI-driven Intelligent Mining of Manufacturing Processes

  19. GreenChemAI - AI-Enabled Sustainability for Chemical Manufacturing

  20. Harmony - AI-Driven Catalyst Manufacturing for Sustainable Materials Production
